HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE HUMAN RIGHTS ORDINANCE?

Members of the LGBT Community have worked for many years to bring the issue of LGBT employment- and housing-related discrimination issues to the attention of the Leon County Commission. Leading this effort was Jim Van Riper, Co-Chair of The Family Tree LGBT Community Center, and Jeff G. Peters, a local Tallahassee attorney. Both men are now members of the Leon County Human Relations Advisory Committee.

Additionally, numerous volunteers have spent countless hours preparing this proposal and researching similar ordinances in other jurisidictions.
